TinIdeas

For developers

From your repository to an idea profile

You already have the code. Your own coding agent reads it, asks you section by section what to tell, and writes one file: TINIDEAS.md. TinIdeas checks and stores that file as a private draft. You decide what becomes public, and you publish in the app.

The recommended way: four commands

npx tinideas login
npx tinideas prompt --interactive
npx tinideas import --dry-run
npx tinideas import

Paste the printed prompt into Claude Code, Codex or any coding agent; it asks you section by section. The dry run shows what would be sent and what would become public.

Prefer one step? npx tinideas describe runs your own Claude Code read-only in the folder and writes the file directly. Either way the AI runs on your own account and costs; TinIdeas runs no AI on your texts.

Three levels of telling

The file

---
format: 2
tinideas_id: …
title: ShiftSwap – swap shifts without group chats
stage: pilot
relationship: own_product
tags: nursing, scheduling
public: problem, target_user, request
---

One paragraph: what it is, for whom, why it is worth a look.

## Problem
## Target users
## Solution
## Why it matters

## Request
Role: PilotPartner
Task: …
Commitment: …
Compensation: …

## Not yet public
Talks with a hospital, prices, numbers – stays here.

Commit the file with your code. Run npx tinideas import again whenever it changes: it updates the same draft instead of creating a new one, and refuses to overwrite edits you made in the app (use --force if you mean it). Keys, internal addresses, IP addresses and e-mail addresses are refused before anything is sent.

Working from your agent: MCP

Create a token in the app under Me → Settings → Claude Code and AI assistants, then connect Claude Code:

claude mcp add --transport http tinideas https://tinideas.app/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer tid_…"

The prompt “idee_aus_repo” shapes the idea with you. Tools: get_frame (the frame), create_idea and update_idea (your texts, request and public proposal), preview_public (what would be public, what is missing). Nothing is ever published over MCP.
